Everybodys engines look so fckn nice, I don't think I'll ever get my 460 lookin good. It always gets rusted and pitted.
You guys are really an inspiration and quit frankly I don't know how you do it...! :coffeycup

I'm guessing your 460 is a Ford. I ran a BBf in the Hondo I sold a few years ago. The Ford is not the cleanest looking block. I have seen some cool looking plates mounted to the ends of the heads. These are soley used for cosmetics. They could be built from aluminum & polished or steel chromed.

hollis try to clean the block real good and use a good urethane paint on it with a shot of clear. resists rust and pitting and looks awsome. lasts years.

Thank you guys. The intake is a Dart single plane. I think polishing sucks, so I painted the block with Chassis Saver paint( like POR15). All the blue I powder coated Candy blue over a Silver or polished base. Every thing you see was done by me over the winter. Just went for my first ride this year tonight. :)

This paint is the shiznit. I did a carb in Candy Apple red with it, looks like powdercoat without the prep and expense. I'm about to put a motor together and plan on using it again. 500 degrees/gas/oil resistant, but I bet an engine coat of clear wouldn't hurt either.
