My jet boat I do not have a pointer on motor to time it. Where can I get one and where in the heck does it go on my olds 455. I have balancer with mark but not tab to time against for proper timing. someone told me I need like 38 degrees total timing at 3000 rpm. any help would be appreciated. Pics are always helpful as well.

On The Front Of The Engine Behind Your Front Mount There Is A Dowl That Alings The Mount And Also Alings The Timming Pointer You Will Have To Support The Front And Remove The Mount Then Install Pointer On The Dowl And Line Up The Other Hole With The Top Bolt On The Mount. You Should Be Able To Get A Pointer From Mondellos Of Rocket Racing There Are Some Others Places Out Ther To

38º is too much for Olds, 32º-34º max all in by about 2800 should be good

I ran my olds at 30* and never had an issue. If you detonate then you will beat the snot out of the rods. And believe me, that olds will self destruct if you detonate :2purples:
