Why are you mixing your amps? Why not all JL or all Sony?
Fosgate is the ticket. Frenchie you can do much better than just two tens. I have an F150 with two 12's behind the longer of the two seats. By doing so you can still have some storage behind the rear seats. Just my .02

PPI is another good brand from way back. JL is o.k. and Sony I haven't really cared for as far as mobile audio crap. I think their styling approach and logos are nasty. Just my .02

Well I use the JL and have been for a number of years. My JL with all JL speakers sounds better and is louder than 95% of the systems out there.
Never heard your before but mine is very clean sounding and plays for a long time at high volumes. I understand Fosgate overheats a lot. Never dealt with it myself as I have never used them.
My 820 watt fosfate runs my subs until the battery wears down literally. I've always had great luck with them. One time the ground cable was too thin a gage and it burnt out a fuse. Other than that it was good to go.

But if you are seriously going to do your boat and want it to be impressive let me know and I will get you hooked up. It will not only sound good but the amps will match.

Well, the A600 was sold 92-97, the APA625 and APA630IX(Sedona Series) was 91-92 and 93-95 respecively, the AX606.2 was 96-97, the PC650 was 97-99 as was the PC6600. The Pro 650 and PRO6800 were 97-99 and the Pro Art100 was 96-97...I think the 600.2 was like 95 or 96 - 97.... That was about the time a lot of mfg's were using flourescent colors on their white amps...

If you had them, for sure in 94, then I guess I was 1-1.5 yr off... It was a long time ago... Besides, who really cares anways? How well did you do in competition?

You are right about the cross overs I was just curious cause when I got them when I was 20 or 21 the guy had to wait on them cause they were new which would have been 96 so when ROz says 95 96 97 that is right about the time frame :D

At 150 in the right box they will perform very well, but not what you want if feeling bass 5 car lengths away is what you're after. Truth is that most people are quite satisfied with 100- 250 watts for single or dual 10's...

150WRMS is how much power the speaker will safely handle continuously, not it's actual output. One of the most misunderstood specs in car audio.
No BS, 300WRMS power to 2 12's (150WRMS each) is a lot of power inside an area that small.
I totally understand that concept, but maybe theres somthing im missing out on......
If its 150RMS and say 400Peak, then peak is the max power to the woofer before it fries, in theory. Dont RMS and Peak usually go somewhat in unisin?
Im thinking about 2 solobaric L&7 10" 1200 peak, and 600RMS I'll probably be putting 1600-1700 watts.
What size amp are you using for those woofers right now?

you have to take the grinder out and go to town. It'll work, but Frenchie's set up is very clean.
Good job French. Or atleast good job to whoever you handed over the greenbacks to.
If you trim that carpeted cardboard we have behind the seat to the body metal, I've seen 15" subs fit very nicely.

you have to take the grinder out and go to town. It'll work, but Frenchie's set up is very clean.
Good job French. Or atleast good job to whoever you handed over the greenbacks to.
If you trim that carpeted cardboard we have behind the seat to the body metal, I've seen 15" subs fit very nicely.
thanx!!!!

how the heck did you get both of those din units to fit in your superduty dash. I've been wanting to put in my Sony EQ din with my Sony headunit din in my superduty but it's not going to fit both of those in there.
Its actually very easy and no cusotmization is involved. Metra makes a Double-din kit for that truck and all you have to do is grind allittle on the factory radio mounts.

what kind of 15's?? and what kind of box? I have seen people use the back wall of the truck as the back of the box and that is not the right way to build a box it will resonate the rear wall of the truck very badly and hinder the sound.

So what was the cost of this get up......
Retail on this set up would be $3000-$3500 OTD. But Im sure Frenchie got a killer deal the way he is promoting these guys.

you dont have to spend a shitload of GRIP to get a good sound give the guy some credit! a truck is real small you dont need to go FULL GANGSTER till it rattles the motor mounts out of it!
