Ordered a "2006" 25 Tremor Closed Bow with a "Ho" yesterday. We don't want it until next year, so we made the order for a December build. Now I just need to sell my Weekend Warrior FSC3200, two quads, and Gas Golf Cart...Pictures:

it's all about the Benjamin's and Mr Franklin hasn't been to my house alot lately. Damn government work!!! Anyway, 70 to 75 mph is good enough for me....My 1999 Hallett245 only went 55, so this is alot better than that...

I would have to agree with Kilr on this one.. The overall satisfaction by having the 525 would be WELL worth the few extra dollars spent each month.
But if you stick with the 496 it is still a FANTASTIC combo.. Congrats on the New Boat Purchase... :D

No one ever comes back to tell me...."Gee....I wish my boat was a bit slower"..
Or...."Gee....I wish my boat was a bit smaller"......
But I do think it will do near 70 in the summer with full fuel & people & crap....
Good hull.....Great boat.....!!
And....I think it's close to $15K for the upgrade to 525....

OR, option C:
Get the 496HO, but order it with an XR drive....
Once you are out of warranty or just plain want to upgrade the motor, you can then get a 525 or add the Raylar kit to the 496 for up to 600Hp and go from there..

Kilrtoy
06-13-2005, 07:17 PM
You don't know that Miguel. I am happy with mine
Yeah but you like to cruise you are very laid back TOM.....
I'll explain it like this...
a mustang with a 6 cylinder will go 100MPH....
A mustang gt will also go 100MPH...
But their is a big dieffereance on how it gets there...
Also the HP and torque wil feel really nice when you hit the gas at 45 and take off...
Ok bob whats 60 bucks........NOTHING....

Geez, what was I thinking. $12,000 for 15 years at 6% increases the monthly payment $101 and $15,000 increases it $137. At 5%, $15,000 increases it $118.
That translates into 6 trips a month at 16.8 a day per trip...
That is pretty cheap for a fun day on the water passing people....

I am already at over 17 I think...
Boat is riding and driving great, except for the top speed which I hope to have fixed very soon. Talked to Bob today, and he said that a recent twin 525 was barely running 80, and then they pulled of the new Gibson mufflers they had on it and it ran 87. I have Zoomers, so we will see.
Howard has eluded to a 32+ Bullet and DCB is rumored to have an FX32 on the drawing board. Shit, that new Cobra 29' is supposed to haul ass (90+) with a single Viper motor !! :supp: :D

Blane, are you sure that was the twin 525 boat? I thought that it was the 29 with the single 600?? Regardless, I'm surprised that the mufflers cost so much speed. I hope my gatlin's aren't costing me 7 MPH

Cool. You'll be happy. Like everyone has said it's a fast hull and the HO moves it around good. I have rode in a couple of the open bows here on the boards. Yours being closed should move along even a little better.

Brian the boat looks great, now you need a new pic of the Mrs next to the Shockwave. :D IMO you choice on the Mag HO is a great combo needless to say most of your boating will be in the 40- 45 mph range so I think It will serve you well. On our Lavey we see a very strong 69 mph in August 120 degrees or more with five on board and coolers full of grub you will be happy. Oh yeah the lid is working out great. :)

Congrats on your new Tremor. I got mine this last August with same motor, but in a cuddy. Fit and finish was worlds away from my last boat (Looking at mine screen name I'm sure you can guess what I had). I ran an honest 66-67 with a load, but I am still breaking it in. Boat looks sweet, keep posting pics. As for stereo, I bought mine from Roz and had Shockwave install. They did a great job.

Exactly. Don't bother with a blue motor in a 25'. My friends just bought Tremor Therapy, a 25' open bow Tremor with an HO and XZ drive. Great motor for that hull. Spend the other money on stereo. Nobody is gonna pay you the premium for the blue motor when you go to sell it anyway. If it was bigger than say, 26', I would push for the HP. I saw 68 in the Tremor with 5 adults and not even fine-tuning the trim. It's a solid 70 mph boat with that motor.

Chris,
Should be done within a couple weeks. It's turning out real nice. I tried to keep a clean classic look to it and I think it accomplished that........Bill (Redrider) was a great help in deciding different options for the boat such as the gauges and adding external steering. I value his opinion since we are both so anal when it comes to our boats......

Mag/Ho......I weighed the cost of the motor + the increased insurance and decided the 525 just wasnt for me...I think this boat will go plenty fast for the wife, baby, and myself...I spent a little of the extra money (if there is any such thing) on the stereo...

I think we got the T154. We used it during a houseboat trip to Lake Powell in July a few years ago. It doesn't get the cabin cold, but it cools it down enough to make it comfortable. I think the swampy guy is usually at the LA boat show and his prices are a little better then.

Nice boat River918.... All the PD in here must work in the OC (Santa Ana) HA/HA.. Us IE boys cant make the type of coin it takes to get new boats. I guess I'm stuck with my lil 21 footer. Congrats on the boat, and let us know how it rides after the first river trip

Its good to see another closed bow SW Tremor! You're gonna love how it rides. We stepped up from a 21' jet, so it was like night and day for us! The only problem is that we've only gotten to take it out once since we took delivery of it in October. Hurry up summer!! :(

I think somone asked about our dash ideas. We do have a 25 Bullet, got the ideas of my dash working with Mike at Howard. We just added the bezel around the stereo remote to, 918 you need to get one, finishes it off very nice.
