You can't post here if you don't have an Allison!!! :rollside: half naken allisons are ok though
J/K! We Allison owners know you are just jealous... that you don't know how to drive a real boat!!!!!
My Super Sport Excel with a 26 year old motor running 90+!

Let's see 'em!!!! :D
PS, Tom Brown, it is ok if you post a pick of your trihull Glastron. I sure it would draw some interest from the antique loving crowd. After all it has one pad.. not like these pussy tunnels with three of them. :220v:

I never hear of Allisons blowing over. Do you have to be really careful on the trim at speed like some of the tunnels or are they less prone to blow over?
... maybe I just don't hear about it.

You can make anything blowover but Allisons as a rule do not. I have never heard of one doing so. Some people experience batturns. I personally have never had that happen either. I have had it fall off the pad over 100 mph and all it did was do the Allison flop. No biggie.

I have batturn mine three times once at 107 with someone with me it did'nt hurt a bit, the next one was at 98 with someone with me this one separeted my left collar bone, both those turns was to the right, and my last one was to the left and it separeted my right collar bone, but this was due to my hydraulic steering backing off.

Have you had your ss in the 100 range, my first turn was due that I had a guy with me that couldn't swim, I looked over my shoulder and didn't see him, so I took another look and that is when it went.
The next time was due that my boat was running like shat and my ridding partner was tapping on my shoulder several times so I dumped the throttle. "my stupid mistake" It bounced once on each side and went. And I told you why the last one went.
I have always been told that a ss will turn easier than any other Allison.

Not to 100 yet, but it'll be there by the end of the summer.
This is good info to know. I have hooked mine 3 times... twice by accident, and once on purpose. :crossx:
I guess I should ignore any input from my passengers. :)
Sorry for the smart ass reply.

Passenger's can get you hurt when you get on the last pad, just by moving from on side to the next, that's what happened on my first batturn, he moved over to the side.
One of my friends has a ss just like yours, he is running a 280 with 260 electronics, and nos, running around the 120 mark. He told me the more hp you got the better the ride is. I know when he first started working on his he was blowing out all the time, but now he has it right.

If I had that hook stuck in my hand I think I might actually let someone else drive while I drank everything I could find until I got back to the trailer.

Paul might not have but I had it 107 and she just kept purring. Course it had a real motor on it then. :p

That thar is my forvoritist color!!
I had a 245 2.5 merc on it. Same as a 260 but with carbs.
Now I have that motor on my XB and it runs good. Still setting it up.
My REAL motor is on my Kaase. Mr. Goodman and Mr. Ruck did the work , I just put it together. It tore out forward gear at test n tune 2 weekends ago on the very first stomping. Didn't even hit the juice! Go figure.

john4utvols, I thought red was the best looking color, but now I am confused!!! :rollside:
TD, you will see a real motor on it soon. And I should get to the other side of 107. :220v:
deltarat, we usually just run the barb out the other side, cut it off, the then pull it back through. Of course that is after, as you said, drink everything in sight!!!! :D

last weekend I was at spanish flats with my 72 sanger bubbledeck and got into a race with bill smith. I heard you guys talking about it on berryessa camping trip thread. He blew by me like I was standing still  . I said sh-t I just got smoked by a fishing boat!! After I lost I started talking to bill he said his boat gps at 96 mph my boat only does about 72 to 75mph. I guess thats why I lost. Any ways it was fun and I hope to see you guys out there again this summer. Im working on a blower and heads for my boat and a race prop I would like to change the out come of the next race we have :) Those allisons are some fast boats!

96 mph for an Allison is mediocre. Try one with a modified motor on nitrous.
