I was headed back to the channel from Steamboat when I saw Dan with his hatch open. He said the drive was spewing oil so I tossed him a rope. Little did I know he had launched across from Black Meadow landing. Long tow being tossed by all the boat wakes. Hope the damage was not too bad. He was able to retrieve under his own power.

I hope the boat is OK. I passed about 100 ft from you, and the smell of gear oil was so strong, I stopped to check under my hatch...

We were headed the other direction and slowed down to turn around to see what happened when we almost got run over by I swear a two story Baja or something ...it was huge and he was followed by another 5 or six big Vee's hot on his tail....so we decided real fast not to slow down and try turning around......damn it was rough out there in our little 21....
Again sorry to hear you went down. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help....I think we're headed down to El Cajon on Wed or Thursday.
