Utlgoa (clever name BTW). How long were you on? How old are ya? Are you PERS?
Don't open a cop bar, you'll be anchored there for a few years. Don't know how you used to deal with the drunk assholes every day. I've been on more fights in since I've owned the bar than I have been in my whole life, which is which a few in my younger days.
After 21 years I went out on injury two months ago. Looking back, it's a good thing for me. I'm young enough to enjoy the rest of my life and work another career while still getting paid
I still miss it like crazy. Mostly the guys and the station life. The calls I've had more than enough of.
Good luck with your search.

Clownpuncher,
I was on just over ten years. And yes, I fall under PERS. When your looking for another career you find out just how many company's are PERS. Kinda sucks. I'm 35 so I can still adapt to another career.
I the thing I miss most also is the people at my my department. I to, do not miss the stupid calls.
