Does anybody edit/make movies from their camcorder. I just got a minidv camcorder and am wondering what is a good, user friendly editing program to use on my computer. I want to edit, add music, and all that crap and then burn it to DVD. I have haerd Pinnacle Studio is good and very easy to use. Anyone have any experience with any programs?

I use ULead, it sets up a great timeline where you can edit music/video/title frames etc... it came with my SoundBlaster External Video Editor. I've used Cyberlink also, but ULead is more user friendly.

I use Pinnacle Media Studio 10. Costs around $130.
Made this movie (http://www.extremecustomboats.com/ecb/video/eXtremecustomboats_mqntscmed.wmv) using Pinnacle

I use Pinnacle. Hope you have a big puter... I suggest saving your files on your backup drive or an external drive to save your OS.

I have been using/learning Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 for my video's....
I just timed out on the demo, so I need to make a decision...$895.00 is expensive.......
But I've learned so much, I kinda feel locked in to buying it....
I'm going to try using Nero7 for editing, as I currently only use it for burning to DVD......

Iv'e used quite a few... It's probably not fair to judge the quality of a program based on the work you see below, because in all fairness people improve with time... I have used Ulead, Imovie and windows movie maker and between all of those I think it is 10x more important not to rush, learn the program and it's capabilities and take some pride in your work.... my choice between any of the entry level softwares such as these 3... Windows movie maker is free and ez to learn, Ulead is worth the $100 or so if you are serious, willing to try a little harder, but that's just my humble opinion :D
all my Imovie stuff is like 30megs and Putfile wont host sorry :(
