Sea Stallions...just about shook my house down!

Two Sea Stallions just clipped over my house at no more than a couple of hundred feet!!!! Thought they were coming inside for some coffee....shook the house like an earthquake!!! I love it!!!!
That's what I get for living a 1/4mile from a Naval Air Station!!!! .....an airshow every day..... :D
While I typed this.....two Chinooks just came over, but not as close!!! ....AMERICA F'ck YEAH!!!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Not sure what's up though. Not a lot of fighters this week, but helicopter traffic is way up.

Usually that means they are flying in support of a training excercise or they're getting ready to deploy and all the pilots are getting current.
Yeah, must be something like that. The Chinooks are doing pattern work, they just come over again and turned downwind to base right over the house @ a few hundred feet!!!! They were in TIGHT formation too.....BAD-ASS!!!!

could be worse..................a harrier dropped in on a neighborhood in Yuma yesterday. Nobody hurt seriously thank god, pilot bailed and jet fell in between homes looks like. Had to evacuate the area until they could get the ordinance rmoved. Yikes scary stuff

Saw that on the news yesterday..........glad no one was hurt to bad..............bet a few people were shakin up!!!!

This week they are having a joint military excersize (JTFEX) at the Los Alamitos base.
We have temporarly installed a microwave tracking antenna system that is receiving video information from a Cessena, which is supose to be a Predator UAV......."Cant fly a UAV in commercial airspace"......Big NO-NO.....
Flying from 9K to 2k'........
The missions are all up and down the coast from Ojai to Pendelton......
Bunch of helo activity all around the OC......

My guys are at Signal Hill, on the City's comm tower....
We have the steerable antenna on the tower and then transmit images back down to the LosAl base on a seperate microwave system.
We control the steerable from a laptop at the tower site...
The "CESSNA"....sorry....(I'm also a pilot...) has a gyro-stabilized camera gimble under one wing and a microwave transmit pod under the other....
You thought satellite images were good.......You should see these from 10K feet.......
Add on the laser painter thats on the Predator UAV........and.....well....."Your DEAD".....
