Rent-A-Midget Service Is Thinking Big
CHINO, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- If you think good things come in small packages, there are three guys in Chino, California, who'd love to hear from you.
The three run a party-planning service called "Rent-A-Midget" which books pint-sized performers who do everything from stripteases to stand up comedy.
Co-owner Chris Fetterer says he and his pals came up with the idea after agreeing that having a midget at a party definitely makes it more fun -- and now they book gigs for five performing little people in the Southern California region.
Rent-A-Midget is currently promoting cupid impersonations for Valentine's Day, where a little person dresses up and gives your sweetheart some flowers, as well as midget Superbowl parties where the performer serves drinks each time the favored team scores a touchdown.
Fetterer says the performers love being paid to entertain -- at rates of $75 and up per gig -- and he loves helping them.
In his words, "We make almost nothing off the events we do. We just do it because it's fun."
