Engine gets painted tomorrow!!! Everything looking good so far. But thats easy to say since the damn thing isn't running in the boat yet. I should be able to put it through the paces on Saturday or Sunday at the latest. Good news, it will be warmer than the past few days, the bad news is that it will be in the low 60's. Its too &*%#ing cold.

H.O.D., this is the best time to get it out, before winter sets in.....at least you'll see if you have any major problems to address, then you'll have all winter to work on it........get the parka and gloves out and run it.

Spoke with Henry tonight...He was at Harve DeGrace the past 2 Saturday's...said it was packed with people, and the water was still warm as toast!!! It will be the Delaware for me the couple more times I'am out.

Update:
Engine is assembled, filled, polished and primed. Ready to drop it into the boat tomorrow. I am exhausted. I get chills just thinking of it coming to life. But I have to admit, I am terrified if anything goes wrong. I will hook up the garden hose and give it a good rev up before I take it to the river tomorrow afternoon.

Just checked it out,very nice,within my driving range.I spent alot of time down that way,rideing my Harley all over Sky-Line Drive...Very nice. Dose seem like thing's cooled off a little,I'am still in for sure.Just been getting those last couple boating days in also been doing a lot of H.D. work on the side.

I was in Lake Anna on Tuesday, what a beautiful place. I was in Havre de Grace also on Wednesday. I dont know HdG that well, but from what I saw (from I-95) it is huge and there are a few islands out there.

wet dream you should have let me know you was in the area when you came up 95 from lake anna you croosed a bridge over the occoquann which is were i work.i didnt know hdg was the upper tip of the bay hell if you guys dont mind open water like that lets get together on the potomac, i work at a large marina and can arrange with the state park across the river to use their ramp , you can check out my work at pwmarina.com we deal in searays but its a dam nice river and i know of some spots we can do some racing at also good riverside eats

Bath county is west of Lexington Va on rt 39 this road takes you directly to Moomaw entrance at rt600 south. may I send you a photo I got this saturday morning?.Also any suggestions for my new 383 motor will be welcome ...... I know ..I know ..get a big block !

One thing that comes in handy is a fuel stop on the water or a pump nearby the ramp for people that want to pull out and go fill and return within a few minutes.
