The Sportin' Woods came over Saturday night to hang out and have some dinner. They brought the goods as far as Gray Goose and other drinks along with a present for me.
The present was a little product that Angies father came up with. Simple, low cost and makes a lot of sense. It is plastic clip that goes on the bimini to hold towels, life jackets, etc in place to dry. When you have a wet towel if you are like me you want them to be in the sun to dry. I used to throw them up on top of the bimini, etc. Sometimes they would blow into the water. These clips solve that problem and are very inexpensive. It is one of those ideas that were so obvious you want to kick yourself in the ass for not coming up with it yourself.
PM Spotin' Wood and he can help you out on getting some of these. Right now the only place you can get them is at the store in Katherines Landing.
Thanks again Jeff and Angie

1/2" schedule 40 PCV with a slice out of it or is there a curve lip to help hold better?

PVC pipe might work but those clips look like they're designed to snap onto the bimini and I'm guessing they're extruded for just the right shape and snap-on performance.
Buy the real clips and respect the guy's invention, design - they're made in the USA (I hope).

We've had some of these on our boat for a while, they work well. Don't know where they came from, but they're colored plastic.

What a great idea. That's such a great product. GUess I'll have to get them on the web site. If y'all get a retailer up in Nor Cal, let me know b/c I'm sure as soon as the crew sees them, they'll want them.

Email me a high-res digital image of the clips, along with a writeup, and I'll put it into the next issue of HB.
And no, there is no such magazine.

Brett, you rock. Tom, you're alright, too, I guess. :D Thanks for the bump. Mom and dad are do-it-yourselfers with everything, so they are attempting to market this on their own. So I'm doing what I can to help them. I do have a small supply that I can distribute when I see you all on the water.
They will also be at the boat show in Pomona on June 10th weekend.

There's one interesting product I saw called a ButtBuoy (http://www.buttbuoy.com). I was out boating and they asked to take a pic of their product next to my boat. Give them some love....or at least some web traffic!

Thanks everyone! My mom went to a convention in Vegas last weekend and picked up a couple of distributors. One is going to sell them in Venezuela (I don't think that will make up for all of the gas we buy from them, though  ) and then they got a call from Overton's on Monday. I guess you'll soon be able to find them in the catalogue near the bimini tops.
I'm really excited for them.
