I have a 25' Eliminator vee and am running a right hand prop now. Should my boat handle the same with a left hand rotation prop?
I know I will have to switch the cable at the shifter, and from what I have read the drive, (bravo) does not care which way it rotates.
Thanks...

Why do you want to switch?
The drive does care which way it rotates.

It seems that the wide knowledge base on OSO believes that Bravos are not directional. I would just need to change the linkage at the shifter (offshore). I can get a 4 blade Bravo 1 22 pitch for cheap but it is LH rotation.
I can get a right hand one used but it is twice the cost.

Any drive is not directional...unless you believe that the gear wear pattern should not be changed (depends on who you talk to) by changing the rotation.
Also, any drive is not directional...unless you believe that the rotation will determine which bearings take the load, as the gears try to push the shafts. I think LH rotation puts more stress on the top cap, and RH pushes more on the lower.
But please keep in mind, I am not an expert.

I have a lh 28p you are welcome to try. HH is right about more stress on the top cap. Maybe you only have to worry in big hp applications???
