MANIC MECHANIC

What, in your opinion, would be the proper carburator choice
for a 454 with 9.5-1 compression, Holley strip performer intake,
large oval port heads, log exhaust with 4 inch outlets, risers and tips in a 21ft sleekcraft jet?
My drag racing buddy tells me that a 800 holley mechanical sec DP will really wake it up, but after doing a search on the tech forums,
I wonder if that might be a little large for my application,
I'm currently running a holley vac sec single pump of unknown cfm.
For a jetboat what is better, vac. or mech. secondaries?
What cfm would be most appropriate for my eng.?
Thanks
Tim
