I have a Hawaiian day cruiser with a 454 and berkley jet , I just bought it , how do you guys change the oil, I was gonna suck it thru the dipstick, is there an easier way? do any of you remote the oil filter? I want to keep the bilge as clean as possible, if any of you have any cool setups with photos it would help out ,I got rid of my wacker for this thing, so steer me in the right direction, thanks....

The easiest way there is is to install a drain hose adapter kit. Available at any of a hundred places, including this one from Rex here on the board:

i would put a hose on the oil pan drain with a valve or bolt in the end and be able to put the hose out the drain plug in the boat to drain. i also have my oil filter mounted on the side wall. makes changing the oil not so hateful.hope that helped.

I run a drain hose with a cap and change my oil every 2 or 3 times out.

There is a whole long discussion on oil change in the HOW TO forum on this site. Lots of different options and some pictures.
