On my wife and daughter's pc (luckily not the laptop I use), they keep on getting continual pop-ups from some Aurora company. There is a pop up blocker instaleed, and I also ran adware several times, but can't seem to get rid of it.
Help please?

Sounds like it installed itself. You need to uninstall the program I had to do that before. It sux.

I looked for it in the add/remove program files, and it's not there. If I do a search, it shows up, and I delete it, but then it keeps coming back.

(Copied from another Forum)
You can go the slow way and remove all the guff manually
http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/...px?id=453076992
Then use HijackThis to verify the removal and check for any remnants
HijackThis direct download:

Apparently you can also go to the website of AbetterInternet and download
their removal tool as well but it seems a bit hypocritical. Have you really
removed it ?

I believe I saw a thread here before that said that was a virus of some type.
G/F's comp had it too, for a week or so, then totally ceased to function

Those things I believe get written into your registry. I've had that before and the only way to get rid of them was to re-image your computer. Kind of sucks but that was the only thing that worked.

the other alternative, that i chose, was to stop using Internet Explorer and start using Mozilla Firefox. i never get pop-ups.

Boozer, thanks, but the first link didn't work. It seems too scary to me to go to the betterinternet.com to get rid of their pop-ups. I don't know if I'll be opening up Pandora's box or not.

Actually the pine didn't match the existing oak furniture we had in our bedroom, so we contacted Music to my ears, and he wanted it for his Havasu house.
Thanks a lot,
Rick
