It's not open, it's made per JL spec. Thats why we have to redo it, I was originally going to go with a single Alpine 12". This one will rock the house I think.

Ah. I assumed they were just gonna make your rear seat base one big sealed enclosure. IF they do it per spec, you should still have some storage on either side.

If the enclosure is made correctly, that thing should absolutely HIT....I heard a single W7 13 in boat recently (slot loaded enclosure though)...and it friggen hit hard....hard enough to where I am upgrading my single W6 12".....and doubling the the amp for the W7 13".

I have JL W7 12" in a sealed box, and it can loosen every screw on your boat, and take your fillings with them. The 13" should pound. :hammer2:

Kenny, ask the guys a KAchina if they can match the specs for the ported enclosure! if they can do it, go for it. If you think they'll f' it up, stay sealed...
