After using my friends trucks (and even my ex) for what seems like forever the truck is finally here, i can't believe how nice it rides, it's the first ford i have ever bought so we will see how it goes, i like the seats in the chevy a lot better but i have had it with the IFS suspension maybe someday when the can build a better suspension i'll get another one again.

Nice truck. I know what you mean about the IFS on the Chevy's though. I'm tired of that suspension and it's limits.

Damn that is a nice lookin boat !!!! Not a big fan of the FORD's, especially after a buddy blew his turbo (brand new 2005 King Ranch), then he talked Ford into buying it back and then the RECALL, time will tell
Congrats :D

If you need a real work horse, pulling big boats and heavy loads, Ford Super Duty's are the only way to go.

that is a very nice set up...not to stir it up though.. :D ...but it seems like that boat is slamming that "ford suspension" pretty hard.

The truck sits level without the boat instead of high in the back like it did before the lift so with the boat it sags but not enough to get to the overloads, I may put airbags on but have not decided yet, i did order the Fabtech traction bars hopefully they will be in next week.

My buddy who bought a brand new 2005 that has already blown up a turbo that the dealer just can't seem to fix and has since got Ford to "buy-back" the truck until the first 2006's come off the line could possibly disagree with you.
Have you not heard of the massive recall ?? :220v: :D
I am sure your particular truck is great Greg

gotta tell someone,,,my new 6.0 diesel,5000 miles made a very bad turbo noise yesterday, drove staight to dealership, never made the sound again, they cant get it in til next week so they said drive it,if no engine lights came on dont worry, there are sensors on the turbo now that will shut the engine down if its having troubles. So the truck goes in need week,,,,,but in the mean time if you see a white F250 crew cab 4x4 long bed,no lift,on the side of th eroad between here and havasu, stop by say hi

I have heard of the recall and my '05 ID# was built after the cutoff of the recall. I believe the recall is on a tranny leak problem? I have not had one problem and am very happy with it, comfortable, solid and very safe and stable feeling when I tow. Incredible braking ability. I pull over 12,000lbs boat and trailer, plus all our gear, water and beer and six people in the cab over 65 MPH up either the Baker grade, Cajon pass or Chiraco summit, A/C full blast and the truck doesn't even feel like it is straining and the temperature gauges barely rise over normal operating levels. I even pass up on these grades trucks and Suburbans pulling much smaller boats. And my F350 Crew Cab Dually Power Stroke 6.0 Diesel sits totally flat all hooked up and loaded up, never sagging. My new truck exceeds everything I want out of it!

and how many times have you replaced the tie rods and idler arms?
My 88 crewcab was great i put 160k on it and had to replace the water pump at 120k and a cat at 150k and that was it but the new ones just don't seem to hold up, i know any truck can have problems but when my95 3/4 ton truckand 99 3/4 ton suburban and 03 h2 all have the same issues with the front end i just had enough, besides the ford rides alot better than the Chevys but the seats suck in the ford.

No front end work at all....
Rebuilt the tranny at 195,000.... but this truck has towed all its life. It does not owe me a penny
