We're planning a trip to Meadview, AZ. Anybody know where we should stay?

It's at the far eastern side of Lake Mead.

It's east of Temple Bar. It's not right on the water. It's about 8 miles from sandy point in Gregg basin, which is about 15 miles by boat from Temple Bar.

For accommodations you can stay at nearby Meadview Lake Motel (928) 564-2343 or the Canyon's End Motel (928) 564-2525 for about $50-60/night. It's not fancy, but clean. RV's can stay at the Meadview RV Park (928) 564-2662. There are a few primitive campsites at Pearce Ferry (no hookups). And of course....Gas, food, and ice are also available in Meadview. Click for directions.
There are 3 motels in town. Each has about 8-10 rooms. Motel 6 quality. Don't expect much. Stay at the Meadview Lake if you can. Call soon because the owner told us he is booked just about all summer. You can park your boat on pavement in front of your room. You can also walk to the cafe and store from there. Food is decent. Peeps are very friendly. That's the only one I've been to.
The RV park has 3 cabins they rent. The other newer looking motel on the highway was apparently just bought out by an Asian family, per the locals at the cafe. Not sure if its open or not.

we have stayed at the place that has Ken's pizza out front. They are nice, we would give them our sandwich orders the night before and they would be ready in the morning.

It's rural, but that's what's cool about it. You won't find a better place to be on Lake Mead either.

We did go out there once but it was too rural for us. Might be a good place in 10-15 years as I'm sure it will grow, but it IS out there. Nice seeing you again this past weekend.
