Yeah it would, but it's been so long I'd have to check my references but I thought the low riser was a top oiler only, when the side oiler came out I thought the medium riser was the base option, may be wrong though, I'll dig out my factory literature and make sure!..

I know for sure that they are side oilers

roy brizio hot rod builder from san francisco has ran the #'s and told me where a couple of oil plug holes were that would infact identify them as outside oilers and everything was were he said it would be

If you have a hump and three pipe plugs on the left side of the block just above the cross bolts then you definitely have a side oiler block!...

I'm almost positive Art that you are right. The sideoilers only came in medium and highrisers with exception of the tunnel ports that really were a racepiece designed for NASCAR racing and didn't find there way into many production cars.

Yeah because at the time it was a fortune for that option, LOL.. :D

Yes, send me prices and location. One of our racers lost his 62 Ford 427 and his aluminum replacement is far from original! (he hasnt been successful even starting it)! Dist gear placement is wrong! Block is possibly drilled incorrectly.

All FE's have the main oil passage running along the top and feeds the cam before the crank "Top Oiler". The "Side Oiler" (427 only) has the main oil passage along the side above the pan like in a Chevy and feeds the crank before the cam!..
