So how fast is a 7.00-7.49 sec boat Mr. Busby? Is that a jet or v drive your running that fast?
Can fuel jet classes can run alcohol or nitro?

Some good running 9 sec. boats in that 9-9.50. 8 boats total.
There should more in that class by Sept.
Nelson and Cress should enter 9.0-9.50 class, they both have good boats for that.

155mph to 160mph

v-drive, hydro

Our Blown Fuel Jet class is both nitro and alcohol. I ran my Alcohol jet in this class, but there ended up in having no one to race ... Frank Nagore went to IHBA, Bill Rathke went to Hydro, Harold Bruce Jr. sold his boat ... so there was no one to run for the past 3 - 4 years. Therefore I made the change to a hydro.

I know, I know ... I had to leave the home office to get in to the regular one ... Gina said that I needed to get away from the web site and my motor ... and work on more loans, etc. :hammerhea
It's killing me though ... I want to get that thing torn down ... I have a new power plant in the works!

we need to put our heads together and figure out a solution for my popoff. the brain isn't the problem. I'm thinking the pins might not be adjusted correctly. The coil energizes and makes a clunk noise as if to indicate the pins are retracting, but the pop-off doesn't open when i'm running. I can pull it open on the trailer though. weird?

The brain is literally a "no brainer" ... I didn't think that it was the problem.

Did Tommy look at it? If not, we can. But if you can pull it open on the trailer, the pins are retracting. Usually, the problem isn't keeping it closed, but it opens all of the time. You need to back out the adjustment screws 1/4 turn ... make a pass ... out a 1/4 turn ... make a pass ... keep doing that until it opens w/o pressing the button, then turn them back in 1/8 to 1/4 turn.
But like I say, if you can pull it open on the trailer ... they should be set close. Parker hydraulic cylinder lube might help on the inside for sliding purposes.
Call me later ... maybe an Elsinore trip is needed in the next week or so.

the only time i can get away running at elsinore is about 7pm at night. any other time of day the cops will ticket me. got to wait until they are gone. I'll try adjusting it this weekend at the river and let you know what happens. Maybe i need to lube the inside of the housing. The plunger is definately hard to move inside of it.

lube it up baby!
Yeah, try it this weekend ... and let me know. It's not rocket science, you'll just need to play with it for a while ... it seems like it's wired right.
be carefull when you are telling everyone out there that you have lubed it up and now are going to play with it ... it doesn't sound quite right.

Someone might have to float me around, I'm sure that could be arranged though.
