New Plasma HDTV

I just purchased a Panasonic 50" HDTV Plasma. I have have it in my hot hands on Friday. Any suggestions from board pros an the best way to hook up to 5.1 amp etc? I have a 7.1 at the Havi house mabye I should snatch it and bring it home?
The TV uses a cable card but my cable company says it is not interactive so I need to use the cable box.
Cool thing is that there is no extra bucks for HDTV box and they install for free.

TV should just be used as a monitor. All the switching and crap will be done with the receiver. That seems to work the best, with the least amount of operating confusion.
