amp question

ive got a fosgate amp in my truck and the amp just recently sometimes work but these couple days it has not been. checked all the wires but still showing no power on the amp. could i have a bad amp? its a 400s and a JL w6 v2

I don't mean to insult your intelligence but have you used a test light or volt meter to confirm power at the amp, reversed process to confirm a good ground, then powered your head unit to confirm signal from the remote line? From my non-profesional experience, in similar situtations alot of my problems came from either a loose ground source or corrosion at the fuse link. If all checks out it's probably safe to say the amp is bad. Hope this helps.

Exactly.. Make sure where you grounded it is making contact with bare metal...Also check the remote turnon from the headunit to confirm it's working...It's the blue or blue and white wire(whatever color the shop used) at your amp........
