Anybody know how to do it on a generator?
A+N B+N C+N?
All legs will be 120 in this config but I'm guessing the first leg will have more (current)? :hammerhea

All of my generators (like 30 of them) have a voltage selector switch that will let you run 120/240 single phase, 110/208 three phase or 277/480 three phase. ;)
Other than wiring the generator with some kind of a selector switch, I know there are panels that will convert three phase to single.

You can run single phase off the 120 legs but you will only have 208 v phase to phase. So if your gonna run 240 single phase load you will need a different setup.

You can pull a single phase off 3 phase but if it's wired "Y" you'll get 120/208 instead of 240.

What exactly do you need to do? Run lights, a welder, plugs?
