My wife liked this boat and I think it was the first boat to the Havasu Springs.

If the recall sayst 181mph then there is really no dispute on whether CRC would of been first.

Unless someone out accelerated him. It's not all about top speed, since some boats take awhile to get wound up with the big props.

I agree. Pretty sure it did not see 181 this past weekend, but no doubt is capable of it.

If he truely just has the Merc 1075's that he is using for the racing season, that would be very optimistic.
I'm no expert, but 181 MPH on any boat probably requires some killer bullets.

We were down across from Cattail and they did not appear to be running that fast to me, or the guys with me. As a matter of fact Predator seemed to be running faster when he went by us.

that was some funny shiat. I sat there and watched him for...what..about 10 minutes trying to get that thing parked. I guess the current was alittle strong :)

Yeah, until a bunch of us went over to help him get on the beach. I guess they don't practice beaching much on the race circuit... :)

They're 1075's but pumped up to 1250hp (from a reliable source) :cool:

I've got about 30 minutes of video of the trip...and some of that is the wacky start (which also includes some "creative driving" on the part of the Spectre brotherhood)...
...I just need to get some time to edit it.

Talked to Defrees at the Sandbar on Saturday after the poker run. Nice guy! Topped out at 178 in the approaching Black Meadows. I don't think he has any reason to lie. I didn't ask him but heard from some Skater boys he topped 180 on Friday.

Pleasure to meet you as well. That was a kick-ass party Friday. Frosty only knows how to do things one way - all out. We were partying at the pool on Monday. Everyone was talking about the ride on your Skater Sat and Sun. I was envious. Maybe next time if you have a free seat. That is if you still have it. Price is definately right on.
