My sandrail motor. Got a fresh tube of JB weld at Walmart so she should be good to go this afternoon.http://www2.***boat.com/image_center/data/520/830110_1037_Small_.JPG

I heard pistons make good ashtrays. Sorry about the bad news. Did you get a lot of hour/miles out of the motor?

Hell yeah you can straighten it out. And if you dont have a vice, just beat it back with a hammer in the drivway. Just keep the RPMs down a little :D

I traded a blower motor with lifter guts scattered throughout for the rail. Dude told me that the motor had 6 hard dune seasons on it and is on borrowed time. O.K. by me. VW motors are cheap enough.
I over revved it badly climbing a hill and she started knocking like a guy with diarhea on an occupied bathroom door. Nobody around to tow and wasnt gonna risk getting the truck stuck(or walk 5 miles).
Gave it all she had to stay running and no oil pressure. Make it about 50 yards from the trailer then clunk. Locked up.
