So there we are, minding our own business in the west end of BV. Anchored, bimini up, two peeps on rafts, listening to music. We look over and see this:

So, we pull anchor and head over. Lake Patrol swings in and starts towing them back. We picked up the seats that floated out, shirts, hats, vests. Followed them in.

The guy gets his trailer in and Lake Patrol lined up the boat for the trailer and unhooked. About 10 of us pulled the boat onto the trailer and then started draining it.

I asked him what happened, if there was a hole in the boat? He said, no, that it was weird. He said he just stopped and the water came over the back! Hopefully, he learned and that won't happen again.

And, of course, where's it gonna go in 5 feet of water?

Not a good way to wash your boat or flush your engine

Probably forgot to tighten his garden hose connector, and flooded the boat, or one of the water hoses came loose, to bad, looks like a nice boat, but the engine needed a wash any way..

Good thing B.V. is not very deep.....
"He said he just stopped and the water came over the back!"
Some people just shouldn't be boating.....

I almost had that happen to me on my first time out with the jet boat. Hose came off going from the pump to the cooling. Luckly we were only about a block from the ramp and just ran it up the ramp.

Dang that sucks. All that brown yukky water in his boat. :(

Had it been me, I would have probably said something like that. Left a hose off or something. At least he told the truth!

It's good to know that there are people like yourself out there willing to help fellow boaters in need Beer. Good job to you.
I guess next time he will learn to come to a slow stop instead of just stopping at once.

I've always thought that's what boating was all about. Helping when needed. Looking out for each other's stuff. It is disturbing to see all of this drain plug pulling nonsense and the untying of sleeping boats.
I must admit, my first thought is what did the person do to cause it. I am sure there are pure random cases, but it seems like one boat out of 10 parked together gets something done to it. Hopefully it is just random and hopefully it will stop.

I think we should blame it on an inconsiderate wakeboard boat loaded down with ballast!.....

I will stop and ask if they need help, you never know when you might need the help yourself, good karma always gets repaid.
