Just looking right know, what the kid wants and what I thank he should have are miles apart. I am looking for Honda civic or Accord. Somthing that will be half way reliable. He had A Saturn but was involved in accident on Friday, the front end recieved alot of damage. The car is not worth that much to get fixed so we have decide to fine somthing else.

Oh I'm a voucher from way back...Danny and Jay made my daughter happy for her graduation, I don't see why he couldn't fit the bill for your son.
Good luck hunting. My daughter would email me car adds from autotrader and the like for weeks before we talked to Danny and Jay, then since I was signing the check, it was my choice...she loves her car and I'm pretty happy with the deal I got.

That sounds like a great deal I will have to check and see what insurance will look like. We are still waiting to here back from the police dept to see if they charged my son with the accident. Thanks for the post I will keep you in mind.

Post or Pre recall? I heard the exploding gas tank in the pre recall model really ups the resale value on those puppies.

My buddies wife has a Kia Spehia for sale with 79K on it. Very clean, but a Kia :D Insurance would be next to nothing and he'd be left with some extra scratch in his pocket for pimpin it out.
Only $4000 obo
My girl is also selling her 68 Fastback Impala. Great project car, runs fine but will need work. $2500 and it's your's or his :D

Who cares?? Don't buy a Kia. PERIOD. They are cheap for good reason.
2 of my relatives have owned Kia's and both cars spent more time getting warranty work done then they did getting time on the road.

Words of advise.
Call your insurance agent with a list of cars that you are considering befor3e you make a purchase.
I unfortunately made alot of partents cry when I gave them there rate for young drivers on cars you thought would be cheap to insure.
FYI - Ford Explorers are typically very cheap to insure.(Blazers,Monteros, pathfinders are much more exspensive to insure)
Stay away from anything that is convertible or considered a pony car or sports car.(Camaro,Mustang,Integra's,eclipse,etc...)
basicly anything that your son really likes will be really spensive.
I personally would look into a 96-98 full size chevy/GM regular cab pick-up with the 4.3 V6.(Good to insure, cheap to buy and not too terrible on the eyes with some wheels and misc. stuff)
Good luck!
