Really made a huge difference on the noise level & I doubt it made more than a 100rpm difference on the performance on the 525.

I went with the Gibsons. It is way too quiet now. But It was getting old with that deffening drone at idle in the boat. I wish it was switchable.

I had plenty of clearance. Did not have to move anything. Install took about ten minutes.
I got lucky though. I think Brian & Reaper both had move their ladders.

Thanks Gibson. Our new 05 Lavey came with the transom mount Gibson Bullet's and they are very quite to say the least, but it is nice to be able to have a conversation and not to worry about being harrased by the LE. Its a 496ho but im not sure on the power loss, as we never ran without them. Good to know you had very minimal loss on the 525! We are still getting 75mph so we are happy!
