A buddy of mine is selling his Howard Whaler on Ebay and is wondering what its worth???
Beautiful Howard Custom Whaler, V-Drive, 468 chevy
Vehicle Description
l986 Howard Custom Whaler. Myself and my partner are the orginal owners. This is a v-drive with 3-speed trans powered by a 468 chevy with a roller cam and roller rockers. The installation is either stainless or anodized alum. throughout. Prop is new menkens stainless steel 3-blade. Competitive trailer. Looks and drives like new. Seats up to 12. Built -in ice chest compartment. Stainless cav. plate. Only driven in fresh water(parker area). Boat is now in Prescott and is stored in parker ariz.

How many hours
what's been done to it rebuild wise.
This is a classic, hate to see it fall into the wrong hands.

I think the boat has less than 200 hours on the entire package. The boat owner use to drag race a pro flat with a fuel injected Arias running fuel. He also build and races Indy Lights, Bonneville speed cars and now a blown fuel alter. He does everthing first class to the point of sick.
The boat has been stored for most of its life and used only at Parker to cruise around.

There was a schiada whaler (also rare) v drive with a new Teague 509 or 540 last year for sell...listing price in boattrader was 24.5K...so your friend is in the right ball park....

I told him he should take it to the Howard Regatta this weekend but he is not sure if he can make it out.
