Said he was stoked enough just to be on the river with a running boat. It'd be cool to see Joe run against Bill. I'd just like to hear the straight scoop on how fast those two really are. I said you were "cruising" :D Remember Bill, the cruisers are sleepers. You go talkin about numbers like that and stuff being aired out all to hell and how are you ever gonna catch the smaller boats asleep at the wheel? ;) Remember, cruisers are for enjoying a nice peacefull weekend on the water. Bense. After everything I've read here, I know I'll be there. The motor has a dyno appointment on August 20th. After that, I'll pop it back in and go tear up Elsinore a couple times to tune. I'll be at Mcintyre on Sept 1st camped and will pull the boat out to come up to the 'lumberyard'. For those that might want to come watch or 'participate', but don't know exactly where this place is, can you give some directions? I think(?) it's N on Intake to 6th and Rt, but someone else mentioned Neighbors Blvd. Where is it? RR

We think the boat weighs about 400lbs. Layed some extra glass on the transom to beef it up cause it was paper thin. It should get with the program. Had the bottom all done, there was a decent amount of hook in it before. Ran good before should run real good when its done.

I'm debating on showing up with a couple of buddies from Aha Quinn. Our boats run and look pretty hard. I just worry about the water conditions and launching conds. at Sixth Street. I hear the water can get pretty rough and where everybody runs is no where near the park.

Nope not missin anything, this my 17th summer out at blythe.Its Labor day weekend, there will be plenty of water on both sides of Palo Verde. You wont be getting any water if you sleep all day.
The North side blythians are coming down to Mayflower looking for some action and the hats. Hopefully the locals dont hide in their trailers all day.

Where: that sandbar where the gullwings with blowers hang out.
Why: because the amount of smack talking that will commence from here until then will be monumental (like i need another reason to race my boat)
Who: Grudge matches will include Jason versus his keyboard and right foot in the "ignition no workie class", DjD versus anyone with beer and his left foot in the "mile high class", Bense versus Trucker in the "heavy metal class", myself versus the yellow cp in the "stand on it for more than 4 seconds you weenie class", Garrett versus all the other blown gullwings in the "free mini-blower friday class", Busby versus himself in the "watch me blow up another new motor class", Toddnjuzz versus HB Jet in the "its about goddam time class" (my money's on big rig!), MikeF versus himself in the "no show class", Whitey versus the guy with the black texas tunnel in the "who will run out of alcohol getting to the sand bar class", Woodgrain versus 1300 horsepower Carerra guy in the "your shitting me class" and finally, nelson versus CS19 in the "we're naturally aspirated so na na na there! class"
so there it is. Blythe will erupt in a thunder of mediocre horsepower and awesomely bad blower whine in september. Let the sh$t talking begin. lol

anyways, a few of us will be there early, keep in mind we are trailering from 15 miles up the 95, so a long day of boozin really isnt an option..We'll be running around in the morning then probably bail out back to the pad at water wheel by the time you guys roll outta bed. Im thinking we'll be at the quin sand bar or maybe shell beach for the majority of the weekend.
