I am new to BR and want to move my trailer there and get hooked up with boat storage. Were are the sand bars or party spots?

Looking at moving my boating to Big River and was wondering about storage too. I am paying $110 a month right now in Bullhead for a 24x12 private unit. The storage is nice and has gated security, boat wash area, free ice, showers, mangement living on sight to watch out for stuff. I am not really using most of the services except for washing my boat after the weekend and putting it away. Does anybody have any quotes on costs for storage for a single unit at Big River?

Anybody ever stay at the BR Inn? Is this place pretty sano? I don't want to have to tow over to the casino 12 beers deep and deal with the casino crud.

I haven't stayed there for years, but its the only place in BR. It used to be an alright motel. It is located just outside the gates to BR park and boat launch area. Check if you get free launch at the park when you stay there, that will save you $17.00 per day. Its easy to find, when you get off the highway on Rio Mesa just take it to the end and there is Big River Inn. Hope that helps.

LGC, no Im out this weekend, I'm gonna lay low for a week or 2, I got torched out there last trip. I sunk my last cell phone that had your number in it, we gotta talk about Labor Day, you got any plans yet?
Dog, BR Inn is ok, its not the most dialed motel, but its close to the ramp and it works for a weekend.Motel 6 is pretty easy to get as well.

CS, Dam it! I alway tell myself I am going to take it easy and have a nice day of relaxing boating and it always turns into and drunken debockle. Maybe I need to start packing my cooler full of energy drink instead of hard :220v: booze. Naah

Big Proppa
07-14-2005, 07:42 AM
Dude the energy thing works great
2 beers
1 water
3 beers
1 rock star
Repeat as required until the sun goes down or you get the boat back on the trailer, which ever comes first.

We were out a few weeks ago...It's cheap and your right above the park. You won't get into the park free though.....Two day passes are $25.....it's free if you own land out there. ;) I think we paid like $60 a night....you can get late check out on Sunday until for 4pm for an additional $25.

Hopefully this time I don't suck a pump full of rocks. Rookie Move!

Good Weekend....
dogball and LGC, good meeting up with you guys again... dogball, you and your woman are both cool people. You should try to make the CBBB trip in August. LGC, good seeing the N.P. out there running hard. Hope you guys liked BR to bring your trailers down. We need some new hitters up there.
Rivertard, good seeing you up there and your son is a great co-pilot "Go get Randy another beer" haha... Your boat is sounding good... and make sure you let Cyclone and I know when your going to host that special firework show at the AVI :rollside:
Wrightnow, the PlaceCraft looks sick on the water... Very nice and the colors look so great in the sun. You would think no one in the cove this weekend had never seen a boat like yours before because it seemed like everyone walked over to check it out. It was strange too. No big stereo (for that trip), no big motor, no half naked girls dancing on the boat or laying out on it... and still everyone came over to check it out....
Wing-N-It (Lance and Debbie) it was a surprise to see you guys roll into the cover Saturday afternoon. As always, its very cool talking with the both of you since my earliest river memories began with you guys around.... Good times always and I'm sure I'll see you at the river more this summer...
Here is a photo of the cove on Saturday with Wrightnow's new PlaceCraft...

Glad you guys had a good time. I know we did. We didn't get off the water until 10pm and when we got to the trailer we passed out... woke up at 3:30am and figured it was too late to BBQ dinner... haha!
Before you post pics, email me a copy to preview to make sure I get approval for posting... Same goes for you LGC....

Garrett, I dont give a fu*k.
Before you comment on BR, why dont you show up when its on? Most of us have been to low blythe, no big deal really. I really like the aha quin/lost lake/big river area myself, and dont give me this shit that there are no fast boats around. Ill bet a 30 pack youll get your ass handed to you all over the place on any given weekend.
I hear theres a few guys headed out the last weekend in July, come try your luck Garrett.

I would say it was a very low key weekend, but there was 2 blown 21' Daytona's, 1 19CP that runs over 100 and another 18CP that is on the bottle. As well as a 20' YoungBlood that's right at the 100 mark... Oh, and a Lost Lake hitter in a 18' Advantage (rogers copy) with a twin turbo small block. This was a mellow weekend for sure....

Well, I actually brought the boat home this weekend to change the oil, get some new plugs and just clean the freaking thing... haha... I might have a few other surprises, or I might not :hammerhea
As for my next trip, I think it's going to be the CBBB trip. It was so damn hot out there this last weekend. When are you heading out to CBBB? I'm thinking about rolling out Thursday night around 9ish.
As for the Placecraft, I believe it just has a 502 for now.

As Randy mentioned, it's powered by a carbed 502 factory deal and mated with a Legend pump.
