First boat I had the coupler went out the first season, Chongs in Havasu did the work. But when I got back home I took it back to the builder and they gave me all my money back plus the tow cost in from the water. Chongs said it was due to the Out drive being misalined.

Put your boat in gear, look at the u-joint on the rear of the motor. Have someone spin the prop if the u-joint spins then it's the coupler or the end of the crank broke off. I was just rolling on the gas and it sounded like the drive broke, but no gear noise.
Thanks, Mike
