What makes a split bowl better?
Also can you use a LARGE rudder on a droop snoot?

Most people dont use the rudders.
The JC is NOT a split bowl. A split(aka two-piece) bowl can be identified by the fact that the steering pins are in a separate piece that bolts to the bowl. Hence, "two piece". On a one-piece bowl it is all one casting. They are a direct interchange for each other.
A split bowl is necessary if you want to run a droop, a snoot, wedges, etc.

I use the very small rudder and I think it's pretty worthless. I wouldn't want one of those big ones hangin on mine to catch whatever and tear up my stuff.
You can put a place on a JC. Her's mine with the agressor.
