Does anyone make a marine grade upholstery staple? I looked at the local HW store last week and did not find anything that looked like it would keep from rusting.

There are stainless staples out there, but you will have to get with an upholsterer I bet. Very much a marine specialty.

I got mine (stainless staples) from the place that I got the stapler from. They sell all kinds of staplers and nailers.
I had to buy a box of 10K staples. I also had to order them. He didn't have any to fit my stapler in stock. I don't recall what I had to pay for them......it's been a while.

I found Inconel staples at OSH a few years back.

ditto to what kona said, I get mine at Home Depot but not all Home Depots have them. If you have difficulty getting them, I'd be more than happy to pick some up and send them off to you for whatever the cost is.
btw, how's the wood where it gets stapled? I've seen it quite a few times that when the staples have rusted out, the wood was a bit rotten.

This is where I got mine last year. It was much cheaper than what the upholsterer was going to charge me. Quick shipping too.

lowes also sells that they have a few different colors . and its way cheeper than west marine or some place like that. :cool:
