5 lb co2 tank, with a pneaumatic die grinder. The square 3/8" socket bit fits into the bottom of the square insert blender bucket.
Nothing like the sound of air power tools at the sand bar.....

This one works badass. I am still pissed you didn't bring it last weekend. :p
I bought a 12v one for my old boat. The blender was more of a stirrer. It sucked.

Thanks, I do not have room for the gas ones. I know they have a ton of blending power. It might be one more reason to go with a honda gen. I worry about power with 12v.

Do ya have a cordless drill? A pair of 18V batteries on the speedy setting will make a lot of margies. Just buy a crappy electric blender that has the square input fitting on the bottom and the socket driver fits...maybe even in reverse....will that make you sober again...? :p

I have an 18v DeWalt. Do those work well? I just need to make some slurpees this summer!

Althought I don't have one, I know the guy who makes them and they are REALLY awesome. Top quality, work great and draw a crowd everytime he starts one up.

I am a huge fan of the inverter deal with a proper blender. I have never seen a 12v blender that will actually crush ice well, so we abstained from ever getting one.
That being said, I recommend any Hamilton Beach blender on the market, and you can get into a good 110v version for under $25.
Next on the list would be a good inverter. They are not cheap, but many double as a charger so you can plug your batteries in at the end of the night/trip and top them off.
Or, do what I do. Bring a small cooler full of good ice for mixers and a big thermos jug full of your mixed drink. Pour it over ice... done! Fortunately for me, I like all of my drinks on the rocks...

Go with the 110/120v + power inverter. I use a VitaMix blender. 12 v blender just dont make a great drink (margarita or smoothie).

My boat came with the 12v. The thing went bad so I bought another for $150.
Wish I had gone the 110 and inverter route. The 12v blender does not turn that strong and you end up with "crunchy" drinks. Also, if a large chunk of ice jambs up the blade, there goes a fuse.

This works O.K. for me. Don't get many complaints when your handing someone a drink :)
