'
it has a t-handle with a button on the top & a 1/4" shaft with a small ball bearing approx 1/8" up the shaft...when u push the button...the ball bearing goes inside the shaft & u can slide the shaft thru a hole to hold things =[===]- & then release the button and the shaft will not come out of the hole until u push the button again
these are used in the military for various purposes...i had some when i was in the AF...but they disappeared over time
any help in locateing some...would be "greatly" appreciated

They are called quick pins. Yeah..mostly military stuff. The military is the best quality. However...Moroso makes them and lot's of chassis builders carry them. Also sometimes you find them on Ebay.
Need to know diameter and the length you need and I will see what I can dig up on the web.

Our bolt houses in town stock them, however we are an industrial town.
Here is another online shop:
Google searched it... (http://www.desotacook.com/)

No, but I applaud your effort in drawing a picture rather than taking one. :)

I've seen them at the local Lowe's in the fastner/nuts & bolts section.

As I recall, we called them "pip" pins. Bitchen t handle, with a push button to release the ball holding it in the hole. I'm not sure of todays NHRA rules, but the funnies of old had 2 of those from the frame to the rear motor plate, and hose clamps up front to the frame, around the front motor plate.....Thats all that held the motors IN..............MP
