depends where you plan to be on the lake...
Echo Bay and Temple Bar both have rooms up from the marinas.
Otherwise you're talking Henderson, Boulder City, LV, Lake LV resort??

It all depends on how close to the lake you want to stay. The Light house inn, Boulder City is decent and is real close (2mi) to the lake. If you want to be closer to Vegas the Fiesta in Henderson is good as well. Whatever you do stay away from the Hacienda its a real shit hole. Lighthouse runs about $80/night and has plenty of boat parking. Carefull launching as the water is low.

The Hacienda is alot better now . They fired the general manager & hired the one that ran it when it was the Gold Strike . That was when you couldn't find a seat at the tables to play , the craps table would be 6-8 pople deep . Man those were the days .

The Hacienda is a dump....The casino is ok but the rooms are BAD!! The carpet was so dirty it made your feet black, and best of all they gave us a room someone else was sleeping in. Opened the door and some peep was asleep...LOL...the whole place was a bad experience. The Lighthouse has no Casino but its mostly boaters who stay there.

The Fiesta (http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&flag=l&itid=&itdx=&itty=&from=f&foop=0&hwrq=&htid=688912&spsh=&spsi=&crti=4&nfla=1&&zz=1121202809174&) in Henderson is a pretty nice place. It's close to Lake Mead but not too far from the Strip if ya want a little extra action at night

Always stayed at Temple Bar. It's a f***ing drive :burningm: but once you're there its a nice boat ride to Sand Point or the Grand Canyon. Decent restaurant and rooms. The drive off of the main road to Temple is just a killer  . Echo Bay is a lot closer but never stayed there.

The Hacienda is the old Goldstrike.....it burned a while ago and was rebuilt and is now the Hacienda.....In my opinion they have really dirty rooms. Go to the Lighthouse, its no Bellagio but its good for the lake. As far as gettin a slip, go to Lake Mead marina or Hemminway. I personally like to launch out of Hemminway but you gotta be careful as the water is shallow in some spots. Also if you are not very familiar with Lake Mead, be very cautious if the wind is blowing as it get extremely rough out there .....If you have a 25'+ you will be okay.
