I am looking for some more wedges like the ones that came with my boat when I bought it. They are aluminum and have o-rings that work very well. The ones I have are 2.5*, 3*, 3.5*, 4*. The wedges have the name J. Barnes stamped on them beside where the size is stamped. Does anyone know who this is or where I can get some more like them. I just don't like the plastic looking ones and I want some more of these for myself and some buddies. Thanks for any help.

I need more for other boats. My buddies are all very envious of my nice looking polished double drilled and o-ringed wedges.

double drilling just looks like twice the work to me! you should have a fab shop make the wedges, you could sell em for some serious coin!

I didn't double drill the ones I have, they came that way. I only use eight studs to hold everything on my pump. I might check with my machinist and see what he would charge. Hell, are we the only two people with aluminum o-ringed wedges? I figured more folks would reply. thanks

sounds like you guys might have the adjustable style wedges. Using 2 and with all the holes drilled in them, you rotate the wedges to get to the optimum degree for your set-up. I got one from Budlight (WickedPerformanceBoats) and it works very well. It was a lot easier to fine tune than having 5 ot 6 different wedges to try.

I don't know cas. I guess you could do that, but I think the holes are there in case you were running a doubled drilled bowl/nozzle housing.

ya mine are the same size wedge so i could counter rotate them for the effect of 0-8 degs. pretty cool! if i could only figure out how to adapt a reverse gate onto my steel race droop/nozzle i would be sittin pretty.

the ones I have are marked with different degrees from 0 to 8 so you're right, I can do that :)

J (JOE) Barnes was a dragboat racer that was killed at a race in Kentucky
a couple of years ago. Those wedges might have belonged to him.

I was looking for some o-ring style wedges. I was going to have them machined for an o-ring. Maybe machining the bowl would be nice too. I had wedges leak last year, even the plastic ones

Thank you pce680, well I hate to hear that. I guess there isn't any need to search for him any longer. These sure are some nice wedges, if he made them he did good work.

actually the steel one is the fastes you will find. about 4 mph faster than my place diverter that i sold. actually i cant figure out why they make those aluminum ones like they do, with o-rings. seems totally backwards.
ya cut an o-ring groove in the bowl too.

i`ve got 2 aluminum wedges (not O-ringed) that i took off something. 5 & 2 degrees. they`ve been hanging on a nail for about 15 years. used to buy em for $20. they have the name "SUPER" where the gasket goes. never thought about it but are aluminum wedges getting rare now?

Those wedges were made by Super Jet.They were in South Gate,CA.
The owner ,Art Kent was a pattern maker. He made molds and cast them out of aluminum and then machined them.
