I have a friend that would like to stay at the AVI... I have never been...so what do you guys/gals like and dislike about it. Thanks for your help in advance!!!! :D

I love the beach, easy parking, security guards that roam, the launch ramp is not too easy because of the current, but that's the only reason... rooms are nice. I have always had a great time there, no problems at all. Just my .02... I like it :D Have fun!

Great hotel......... But WAAAAAAY to many idiots with Sea Doos in and around the cove. And I'm not saying all Sea Doo owners are idiots, but the majority that are hanging out there are!! The hotel rents them too !!! So you have total newbies out there also.
Great place, just becareful and assume all of them have no clue and you'll be safe. :D

I won in the casino. I couldn't lose at CBBB last year. Every night I was up at least $100. I paid for the rooms with my winnings and had $200 left over. We stayed 4 nights. We like the buffet better than the cafe if you can believe that. Some rooms have a river view and some have a parking lot view. She may want to request a river view when booking. The beach is nice and they have palapas if you do not have shade, but she'll have to get up early to get dibs. Ditto what Mrs. Casean said about the launch. It is about 3-4 lanes wide and the river moves pretty quick right there and the bridge is right next to the launch (read: cement pylons in the water near immediate vicinity of launch).
We also found the service great overall.

We love it! I have to agree with Rev on the Seadoo ding dongs! We always go down river to find our own beach,cuz I can't stand the lame peeps there on Sat! Sun is usually a very nice day on the beach! You will have fun! I have won or came out even every time I have played there! :D Eat at the Moonshadow! Yummy! :D

Avi is cool, I stay there alot.My only complaint is the staff and it only gets worse in Laughlin.

Great golf course, and nice view of the river from the buffet restaurant. You might to ask for a river view room, otherwise you could be looking at the roof and a/c units of the other rooms. There's a slight break in the current by the launch ramp, but I wouldn't bring a bigger boat down that, unless you're real good and don't dally (that's a word, right?). Having a gas station right there at the other end of the parking lot, is convenient as hell.
Otherwise, no complaints....enjoy. :D
