Anybody? Likes/dislikes?? Feedback?
I've only ever seen 2 or 3 of 'em, can't hardly picture it...Is it an AO/Talon bottom? Something else? Their own??
There's more traffic here than C&T Wade

Cobra's 260 Venom series of boats are considered one of the best cat hulls in the industry. Are there other 26 ft cats that are good also? Of course there are. But the truth is that the 260 Venom has been on top of the performance charts since it's inception. "Fastest accelerating cat" Hot boat. "Award of excellence" Powerboat "Increadibly solid platform and the most stable over 100 MPH" Powerboat, as well as "The fastest tested with standard Merc horsepower" ***boat. As well as the fastest with a 525, (can't remember which magazine that was in) Just the fact alone that most people chose the 260 Venom with a 496 HO because it is the fastest with that powerplant, says alot about the boat. Are there downfalls to the 260 Venom, Just one, you can't wakeboard behind it unless you want to do it at 100 MPH. LOL Little joke there Bob.
If you are looking for a true award winning custom, and one of the finest built cats in the industry, the 260 Venom is the one that should be seriously looked at.

I was looking at getting the 260C until I bought a S4 Audi today. The workmanship and layout is getting up there with the best. The interiors are getting to look like a three letter boat company(don't want to upset the cool aid drinkers). The prices are still good, 85K for a 496HO canopy boat.

You can't argue with quality. Cobra is ever evolving and thank you for noticing the changes we have been making. Being compared to the three letter boat builder is an honor. Any time you are compared to Dave and his excellent line of boats, you know you're doing something right. Thank you for the compliment.

Dan, I own one, (actually right now I own two) Is there anything particular you were looking to find out? My first one is the white/orange/red one. Teague 720 for power. I got 105 from it. Boat cruises nicely at 65-75. I think they are geting mid 80 with a 496HO. No porpoise at any speeds. No room under the bow for seating, but nice storage between the bulkheads. I run a poker run style locker seat so I only get 5 on board. Open bow has some nice storage in the sponsons. The bottom is their own, Rob King did the deck.

I'd just like to take a good look at one...some friends are going back and forth on the venom and another similar sized cat. They're both NICE boats, ya know just different strokes for different folks

Mid 80's with an HO????? Best I have seen them run is 75 with a 28 pitch prop and an HO! I would like to see one running mid 80's with a stock HO.

I think he meant mid 80's with a 525 Mike...
we all know better than to think it would run that with an HO...on the trailer doesn't count

OOOPPS my mistake. mid 80's is with a 525. I think its mid-high 70's with the 496. My boat runs faster in the water than on the trailer! LOL. :p
Dan, as soon as the new one is done, I WILL BE ON THE WATER!
there is a canopy version in the showroom if they want to crawl on one now.

What are the chances they show up with a 1/4 tank or fuel and no extras on board? Look, it goes 70+ with 3-4 adults. I say Full tank of fuel and some gear. Just like it was any other day at the lake. The outcome should be interesting.

I PM'ed you Jay's phone#. I just talked to him and he said to give him a call. He's very happy with his boat. He had a few issues after the build but Cobra stepped up and took care of everyone the problems without hesitation.
