Here's a pic I took last night of my boat. Gelled it all black and have been sanding like a mofo. Its not polished yet, but Should be in a couple weeks.

The good news is if it looks that smooth wet, it should look pretty good buffed out. Is your motor done yet? I haven't heard any numbers so I was gettin kinda cuious. You should have a nice ride when you get her all done.

Chris, Motor is supposed to go to the dyno late this month. Im dropping some parts of At DNE tonight. I can hardly wait.
Thanks for the compliments. It isn't perfect, but it should look pretty decent when its all done.
Dragboats-No way in hell would I do a daycruiser. there is a reason people get 5-10k for a simple gel coat job. This little 18 footer has atleast 1000 hours of prep, spray and wetsanding...

Went by DNE last night. Dropped off oil pan ignition, fuel pump carb and manifold. Bad news is I wont be going to the dyno until mid August or so. Its actually a good thing though, that way I have time to do some more sanding. :D

Geez, that's sweet!! Looks that good before a polish, it ought to look wet all the time after a polish!! :D

Looks good. I remember this time last year I was doing the same thing.
Is that only one color?
Just remember, the first time you trailer it. Try not to look at it in the rear view mirror too much on the way to the water.
