I have a new 502 and going to have some new heads, cam, intake, carb, roller rockers installed before it hits the water. What do you think about dart heads, and rectangular or oval,??? the cam is 290/570 and a single plane manfiold... A little or a lot of help would be truly appreciated.. any other sugguestions would be helpfull.

Thanks ray for the quick response. Would the 310s pro 1 be a good choice, and what about the cam size does that seem like a good match. what kind of hp do you think i will have.

Damn lostlake......Haven't you learned your lesson yet? What are ya gonna due with edelbrock heads you installed? Go with the Dart Pro-1 heads but keep it small on the intake runners. The 310's will work good on your motor as long as it turns the right rpm. They won't due much for ya out of the hole but mid range and top end will be pretty good. I still think for what your gonna do with the boat, have the stock 502 heads port matched and polished. If they are setup right they will out pull most after market heads from idle to midrange then the aftermarket aluminum heads start to shine from mid range on up IN HIGHLY MODIFIED engines. Your stock 502 heads are EXCELLENT heads for torque from idle to 5500 rpm. I just hate to see you spend your money on something thats NOT gonna benefit you. In fact, your stock heads work GREAT on MILDLY (Under 7 pounds) blown applications with a port match and some exhaust valve work. If all your gonna turn your engine is around 5400-5800 rpm why spend the bucks.? Call me dude..You got the number I think and let me help you get the right combination. BLOWNDRAGBOAT@YAHOO.COM
