HELP!
I am an avid ***boater, and a Laughlin "regular" for about 10 years now. Since 1997 I have stayed at the Edgewater. Up until about 2 years ago, it was one of the best deals on the water, and with my play, I'd get much love. Comp rooms and meals, even on a holiday weekend.
Here it is 2005 and they are a "Mandalay Property." With that, all Single deck tables started paying 6 to 5 on a blackjack. For those of you thinking it's not a big deal, it is. It puts the casino advantage back over 1% no matter how good you play.
For those of you still thinking no big deal. Let me do some math:
5 Dollar bet w/ BJ pays $7.50 3to2 but only $6.00 6to5. You just got jipped for $1.50
Big deal? :frown:
50 Dollar bet w/BJ pays $75.00 3to2 but only $60.00 6to5. You just got jipped for $15.00!
Big Deal? :yuk:
500 Dollar bet get jipped for $150.00 bucks!
Do you see where this goes? If you play like I do and average 50 bucks or more per hand, by the endo of the night I have realized that after a number of blackjack hands, I actually went upstairs a few hundred less than I should have. :yuk:
Basically I started this thread to find out where the advantage BlackJack Players are, and where are they playing on the River? Avi? Riverside?
Which house still deals a fair 3 to 2 Single or Double Deck game???
