With all the bad press about olds oiling
systems it dawned on me that My engine came
out of a jet. I have time and money invested
and don't want to lose it. So what is the difference between a jet and v-drive pan other than the obvious that the engine is reversed.
thanks. v-drive

I think the baffling (trap door or doors) would be the difference at a minimun.

thanks. v-drivethe v-drive pan uses a long pickup tube and the trap doors are reversed since the engine is turned around---don't try to use a jet pan on a v-drive--u will loose oil pickup on acceleration--

They're kinda pricey, but Dooley still lists V-drive pans/pickups/assorted parts for the OLDS. (714)630-6436

Dooley builds pans for just about every engine that has ever been placed in a boat, v-drive or jet. And they are the highest quality of any (IMHO).
