The Rest Of Summer
How do we want to do this?
Havre De Grace, MD August The first couple of years we we're going to Havre De Grace for the August BOTE Bash which is the first full weekend (6th & 7th). Due to the big water, we we're losing attendance from people with smaller boats (Wideopen, Shirkey) or the added distance from the Carolinas (Sleekcraft, Bubba).
Lake Anna, VA September Jack Weller has invited us to his house for a pig roast on September 17th. This is a NON BOTE EVENT.
Lake James, NC July and October 4th of July Bash, Halloween Bash
Raystown Lake, PA September We did this once, real nice lake.
Where do we want to do the August BOTE event?

My take on it...
Personally I'm going to limit my tow to under 300 miles or 6 hrs one way.
*Raystown, Havre, Lake Anna or any other place I may not know about in that distance.
*True Havre is a tough call (if) the winds kick up...however on a good day it's tough to be that massive sand bar and surrounding coves.
*Raystown was a blast :rollside: , if we all could grab those log cabins and nail down a good weather 3-4 day weekend...as no refund on deposits
*Anna in September...sounds good and I will try to attend. But if the weather is iffy, kinda late in the month to reschedule. I would like to see my boating homies prior to Anna
*I may be going to La. somethime in late August.
Everything is subject to change :D
PS. haven't use the boat since Anna :(
And it's been like a friken steam bath outside for over a week...rain every hour or so. The humidity is unlike anything I've felt in years and years., like walking into a wet sponge :yuk:

I'm with Hammer. What ever is the closest for ALL to attend. Don't know where we'll be coming from, oh wait yeah, the Carolina's :D
And not real sure what kind of boat we'll bring, oh yeah, the one like most of ya'll have.

Wet, you know I'm good for Raystown (assuming no hurrican junk). I spent one week there already this year and I'm planning on the end (thur, fri) of the week after labor day. I was there that whole week last year and the lake was empty.
