Well DAN,
The engine has about 5 hours on her. Timing is a 6* or 34 total. Had to change the power valves out in the holly they were 8 in the front and 6 in the back now 10 and 8. I changed the impeller from a "B" to a "C". I have not run it yet with the new valves or the "C" impeller. The best GPS we got was 57MPH. Thats with the "B" impeller in @ 4900 RPM'S not very good for that much power. But as you can see it is not a 400 pound hull...
I still have the droop and ride plate to put on and a intake grate.. She gets the best GPS with the place deverter all the way up? not level or flat.. That kind of tells me she is asking for the droop...
Any thoughts or sugestions would be great if you have this hull or similar hull.
This one is a 1977 General Marine "ranger" 19"

Nice ride Dennis, You have a twin to that boat at the marina in Houghton lake. I'll take some pics when I go up there this Wed. My buddy has the same hull but a Tahiti. Why the small impeller?

I was told that a berkley "A" is like a Jacuzzi "B". I need to get the RPM'S up to 5500 to make the max power out of that BIG BAD FORD. SO I was told a "C" cut would push more water and give me a higher RPM. We will see how bad it will cavitate.

Has anyone tried cavation plates on a boat like this?
