Is there a list of the Delta events for the rest of this year 2005. May be they could be posted somewhere. ????

Summer 2005
Blues Jam Session, every Sunday at Windmill Cove Marina, starting at 4 p.m. hosted by blues musicians Joe Pina, David Brown and Steve Hall who played at Mossdale Marina until it recently closed. It is an open stage jam so people are invited to bring instruments and play on stage, 209/948-6995. Dates include

Bethel Island 50's Bash Car & Motorcycle Show. Features a Car Show on Saturday, and on Sunday a Motorcycle Show is featured. Pre Registration $30.00 Same Day $35.00 both days. River Otter Amphibious Race (ROAR). Now in its 4th year, some refer to this as the "River Otter Contraption Race." These kinetic people-powered contraptions run on both water and land, this year starting at the Crocker Art Museum near Old Sacramento, where there is a Saturday evening registration and artists reception with food, champagne, music for the competitors. The race activities start here Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m., beginning with breakfast, brake and safety checks. The race starts at Cocker at 11 a.m. and runs to about 2 p.m. at the finish along the promenade in West Sacramento. The public is invited to watch, admission free, 916/552-6808 ext. 172.
Purveyors, Pirates and Prostitutes Costume Ball, at Rusty Porthole, dress up for a fun night at the Rusty Porthole. Prizes for best costumes. Come strut your stuff. Party begins at 9 p.m. with music, dancing and fun! 925/684-3607.
Bridge-to-Bridge Waterfront Festival & Boat Race - Offshore boats will make timed boat runs past the Old Sacramento boardwalk and between the Tower Bridge and the I Street Bridge. Heats will compete all weekend, with final races Sunday, admission is free. There will be vendors, music, Coast Guard demonstrations and other activities both days, with activities on both sides of the river. 916/264-8982,

Courtland Pear Fair. The pear is king at this fun event in the pear capital of the universe, the river town of Courtland, features food and drinks that focus on the pear, pear contests, a parade, and more. The last Sunday in July, 916/775-2000.

Gold Rush Days, in Old Sacramento, people dress up in period costume and the place takes on the look of the way it was during the Gold Rush. The streets are paved with dirt and only pedestrians, equestrians and horse-drawn vehicles are permitted. Activities included are steam trains, covered wagons, horse-drawn carriages, street dramas, period musicians, dancers, saloons, miners' tents, ethnic villages, arts & crafts and exhibits- Pony express reenactment - News arriving of gold discoveries - Horse drawn funeral procession ยท Famous squatter's riots Entertainment & Attractions - Stages and street musicians throughout Old Sacramento - Camp wagon cooking demonstrations - Marksmanship demonstrations - California State Railroad Museum, Discovery Museum, Military Museum and Wells Fargo Museum. Rodeo On The River, Western championship rodeo in Isleton, bull riding, bronc riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, barrel racing, team roping, bareback riding & other good stuff. Event now includes Junior Pro Rodeo finals on Friday at 3 p.m. Rodeo starts at 3 p.m. Sat. & Sun. Adm. $10, advance tickets $8, kids under 5 free. Pittsburg Seafood Festival, by the Pittsburg Chamber on the commodious grounds of Pittsburg Marina. Folks seem to like events that involve food, and they don't get much better than this two-day extravaganza. Some 40 vendors offer a variety of seafood, as well as a few items that never swam in the sea. Food dishes are modest in both price and size, with the idea that you sample the food from a variety of vendors. This is a family-oriented event with a modest admission price. The festival includes entertainment, including a few live bands, and a dazzling program of offshore boat racing, starting at noon Sunday. 925/432-7301.
Wednesday Night Jazz Concerts, free Jazz under the stars at Old Sacramento at Waterfront Park on Front Street between K & L Streets. Bring your lawn chair or use one of theirs, bring a blanket, grab take-out from one of the Old Sac restaurants, purchase a cold beverage from the concert bar and sit back and relax to your favorite sounds.
Friday Summer Concert Series, at Suisun City Marina, every second week June 6 through Sept. 12, featuring best rock and roll dance bands in the area, admission free, family oriented, no alcohol except in the event beer garden, 707/429-2628.
Annual Delta Blues Festival, noon to 7 p.m. in downtown Antioch on the waterfront between I and G, admission free, arrive by boat into Antioch Marina, 925/757-6440.
Polynesian Night, at Wimpy's Marina features Hawaiian dancers and other acts, live music, leis, and a big barbecue, priced $38 per person, limited to first 125 persons, tickets go on sale end of July, advanced reservations, dinner at 6:30 p.m., Floor Show 8 p.m., then dancing, 209/794-2544,
Pot 'O Gold Reverse Raffle, they have gold fever at Bethel Island. Tickets are $100 each, maximum of 200 sold. Ticket price includes a steak dinner. Top prize for the last ticket pulled in the raffle is $10,000. There are numerous other prizes too. The event takes place at Scout Hall, starting at 5 p.m., 925/684-3220.
Northern California Fall Boat Show, by the NCMA at Jack London Square, Oakland, with some 100 yachts to 80 ft. power and sail in the water and 200 trailerboats ashore, and over 100 booths of boating accessories and equipment, free boat rides, kids activities, fishing, adults $9, kids $5 (under 6 free) discount tickets at dealers, noon - 6 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sat. & Sun. 800/698-5777.

Bartender's Challenge, at Rusty Porthole. Welcoming bartenders from around the Delta to show off their athletic styles. Obstacle course and other challenges will make the day interesting. Come and cheer for your favorite libation maker! Starts at 2 p.m. 925/684-3607.

Boardstock, The Delta hosts Boardstock again this year. Events again take place in downtown Stockton on that peninsula on the Stockton Channel, backed by Mormon Slough. Schedule downtown is tentative at this time, but gates open a 11 a.m. both days and activities run to 7 p.m., and include everything from skydiving to rounds of wakeboarding events. There are no "official" activities at Tower Park Marina (209/369-1041) but camping and docking at the marina is booked and its night club will have live music Thursday through Sunday. Likely, there will be impromptu activities at anchorages. Boardstock introduces some 10,000 people to the Delta each year, 209/943-1987.
Nantucket Too Poker Run, by Nantucket Too Restaurant at Bethel Island, tickets $55 per person, includes breakfast, dinner, T-shirt, beach towel and prizes. Docking for run at San Joaquin YC. B & W Steamboat Meet, at B & W Resort. An amateur steamboat club brings around three-dozen steamboats to the resort for a weekend of huffing and puffing around, a good excuse to exercise their steam whistles. It usually includes a parade and picnic luncheon outing to Tower Park or Westgate Landing, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturdays. Admission free, 916/777-6161.
Free Fishing Day, you don't need a fishing license to fish anywhere in California on this day.
Rivertown Jamboree, in downtown Antioch, live music, food, arts and crafts booths, carnival in Downtown Antioch, boat into Antioch Marina.
