Here's our newest member in our extended family.
Romeo, 1/2 Arabian, 1/2 Thorobred, 20 years old, sweet all around guy.
My daughter's horse...hence the 20 years of age as the last one was a bit punchy for her (12 year old horse last time). The two have bonded really nicely and he's already body searching her for treats.
Now, if I can only get him to do that to me. :D http://www.hotboatpics.com/pics/data/500/1601Construction_231-med.jpg

sweet dude older the horse better for the younger ones. Way to keep them active in the stuff you want them to be active in. In the long run they will stay away from drugs and all the bad stuff kids due when they are bored.

How long do horses live?
Secondly, I feel the jokes coming. :)

She once had a 12 year old (last year) gelding and this guy was too much for her and a bit testy...so, we've been on quite the adventure since then looking for a good horse to fit her. We've looked at the "elder" ones and just like people, some look and act their age, some younger, some older. Romeo is one that acts and looks younger. He handles himself with ease and grace, yet will still get up and go when you wish, not when he deems it necessary.
They are a good fit. Until she outgrows him, then we will continue the adventure.
When they both move onto our property in a few months, that's when the fun will start. I'm going to have a custom horse poopie shovel made just for me. Maybe some bling bling and some billet in it! :rollside:
