Don't exactly know what a 30 foot Kachina is but won't you need a lot of carbureted cubes to make it go that fast? What style of boat and what size engine. Did you look at some engines on dragboats. com or in the Dragboat Review magazine?

Call Paul Pfaff racing. Talk to Paul or Gordon Jennings. They are known worldwide and know how to do it right. It does not cost anymore to go with one of the best. Their service and customer relations are tops.

I know people who have had good experiences with B&D Marine in El Monte.

one of the best guys for caburated high perf. marine engines is Roslan Performance motorsports he's in Atascadero, Ca. it's a ways from where you are but it would be well worth the drive. He's built some SICK!!! horsepower for my boats and is in the process of building another engine for me right now.

if your looking for a marine ready turn key ready to go call teauge, this is my third go around having a motor built for a new boat and the biggest problem is alot of the great motor builders will hook you up with a motor but if its a i/o there is a lot more that is needed.teauge will hand deliver it with all the filters, adapters, hoses.alarm systems.if you just bring a nice bigblock with nothing hooked up to it the boat builder he is going to break it off in your ass rigging it.

I have to throw Jeff Blosdales name into the pot here. I am running a blown 510 built by him and have great reliability with it. He is a great guy and gives a one year warranty on his motors (way better than most). His prices are also very reasonable. He is out of Lake Havasu City 520-453-1050. Tell him that Chris with the red and black DCB Mach 26 reffered you. He will take good care of you.

I had my motor built by Gary at GT Performance in Montclair, which is fairly close to you in Riverside. I have the naturally aspirated 540 in an Eliminator tunnel, and I have been pleased with this combo. Gary is very knowledgable, call him at 909-982-8391.

You can call Beck Racing in Phoenix, AZ . They just built my engine. You can see pics of it in the JetForum. They offer a 6 month warranty and have a lot of different combos to choice from. Talk to Frank and he will know what you should run. The number is 623-780-1001. Check all of your options but for the money and warranty Beck is great and his motors come turn key and dyno tuned. Let him know you heard about it here it he will take care of you.

I like Goodwinn competition from Omro Wisconsin.Todd works with Mercury Marine in Fondulac on some unique combinations. He is also involved with the new 708 cu.in.Allstar engine.I do suggest you check out whomever you choose.I am from Green Bay and I chose Todd after dealing with some famous east coast builders that wouldn't back up their engines. He was close by and that is a big factor when dealing with a project.A builder in your local area can deal with any problems that could arise. All he names mentioned above have good reputations.
